The new 10 Oklahoma Goldback Series of Aurum gold notes.

Goldbacks are a novel form of currency that blends the timeless value of gold with the practicality of paper money. Unlike traditional currency, which is often made from a mix of cotton and linen, Goldbacks are crafted from a thin layer of 24-karat gold. Moreover, the 10 Goldbacks note contains 1/100 troy ounce of pure gold.

The Oklahoma 10 Goldback honours the virtue Unitas, or Unity. At the centre, a woman performs the Fancy Shawl Dance while another figure performs the men’s Fancy Dance behind her. The woman wears an elaborate fringe shawl to mimic fluttering wings, embodying the grace and agility of the butterfly and hummingbird.

In this piece, the dancers are not symbolic—they are real people. The male dancer is Mike Pahsetopah of the Osage Nation, a world champion Fancy dancer, cultural ambassador, and author. Moreover, in the centre of the scene is his daughter, Heaven, a celebrated Fancy Shawl dancer who has performed across the country and on HBO.

At Heaven’s suggestion, a Ruby-throated Hummingbird was added to the scene, symbolising renewal. In the distance moves a buffalo, or American bison, the state animal and a Native symbol of survival. Beside the dancer, a majestic raven—known as a keeper of sacred knowledge—carries a flowing ribbon inscribed with “Unitas.” In the sky, black swallowtail butterflies dance, echoing the flutter of the shawl. Beneath the dancers bloom Indian blanket flowers, Oklahoma’s state wildflower. Inscribed at the bottom of this artwork is the enduring truth: “Walk in harmony with all things.”

These Goldbacks are produced in the United States. It is not legal tender, but it is recognised as a form of payment in certain states within the US.

These unique foil notes allow you to own Gold more conveniently and affordably. They are verified through rigorous testing by the manufacturer Valaurum and independent laboratories. The goal is for people to be able to pay for anything with the Goldback, making it an innovative form of currency.
