100 Oklahoma Goldbacks, Aurum Gold Foil Note 24k

The new Oklahoma Goldback Series of Aurum gold notes. 

Goldbacks are a novel form of currency that blends the timeless value of gold with the practicality of paper money. Unlike traditional currency, which is often made from a mix of cotton and linen, Goldbacks are crafted from a thin layer of 24-karat gold, the 100 Goldbacks note contains 1/10 troy ounce of pure gold.

The Oklahoma 100 Goldback stands as a tribute to one of the most storied military units in U.S. history: the 45th Infantry Division, known proudly as the “Thunderbird Division.” In 1923, the 45th was forged from the Oklahoma National Guard, embodying the state’s resilience, diversity, and fierce commitment to liberty. 

At the centre of this composition stands Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom and a powerful American symbol. She is radiant and resolute—not marching ahead of the men, but with them. Her gown of stars and stripes is directly inspired by the Liberty figure on the Oklahoma State Seal, representing the state’s founding ideals of justice and freedom. Her form also echoes the Walking Liberty Half Dollar, a coin that circulated widely during World War II.

Libertas holds a shield with the Great Seal of Oklahoma, including the Five Civilized Tribes to show unity with the state they shaped. Her belt bears the Osage shield, peace pipe, and olive branch from the state flag, symbols of defence and diplomacy. A broken shackle by her ankle recalls Dachau, while a Star of David on her chest honours the Jewish lives the 45th helped save.

Behind her, war rages. Tanks and jeeps cross the field, planes streak the storm-lit sky, and a bald eagle soars above as a messenger of wisdom and spiritual power. A bolt of lightning forms the Thunderbird, protector and storm-bringer of Southeastern tribes, whose power inspired the 45th’s emblem carried into battle.

In the foreground, infantrymen press forward, their helmets marked with the Thunderbird insignia. One soldier’s pack carries a flowing banner with a single word: “Libertas.” It is the ideal they fought for, the virtue that sustained them, and the message they carried home. Inscribed into the base of the scene are the words: “Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty,” a quote attributed to Thomas Jefferson. A reminder that freedom is never free.

This is the Oklahoma 100. It stands as a testament to all who have fought for liberty, and to the enduring strength of the people who call this land home.

These Goldbacks are produced in the United States, It is not legal tender, but it is recognised as a form of payment in certain states within the US.

These unique foil notes allow you to own Gold in a more convenient and affordable way. They are verified through rigorous testing by the manufacturer Valaurum and independent laboratories. The goal is for people to be able to pay for anything with the Goldback, making it an innovative form of currency.
