2023 Knights Of The Past 10 Euro 2oz Silver Coin

The Germania Mint is proud to present the final release of their highly-anticipated Knights of the Past series! The Latin term “Germania” is the origin of the name “Germany” used in English today.

The 2023 Knights Of The Past 10 Euro 2oz Silver Coin is the third and final release in a series co-created with the Central Bank of Malta. Germania Mint presents the tradition and history of the Order of Malta with a modern twist.

The obverse depicts the Knights of Malta, the Valetta watchtower, and Fort Saint Angelo in Birgu. These were the Order’s headquarters during the island’s siege. The reverse features the coat of arms of the Central Bank of Malta. A Maltese knight displays it on a shield.

This inaugural release features Maltese knights in battle formation with their castle in the background. These knights are a religious military order dating back to the 11th century. They ruled under their own papal charter over the Maltese Islands. The group has grown immensely over the years, from its early years of power in the region of Malta, to the worldwide order focused on humanitarian efforts and religious brotherhood that it is today.

Company limits this coin to a special edition of 999 ennobled pieces. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and dedicated packaging.
