Samoa Year of the Dragon Half oz Silver Proof Like Coin
The 2024 Samoa Year of the Dragon Half Ounce Silver Proof-Like Coin is produced by the Scottsdale Mint and backed by Samoa. On the obverse, the coin proudly displays the Samoa Coat of Arms, below, the Samoan motto “FA’AVAE I LE ATUA SAMOA” is inscribed, translating to “God be the Foundation of Samoa”. The reverse side of the coin is dedicated to the Lunar Year of the Dragon. The dragon, a revered symbol in Chinese culture, represents strength, prosperity, and good fortune. Those born under this lunar year are believed to possess the dragon’s noble traits, such as charisma, courage, and creativity. This coin has a limited mintage of 8,888 pieces. It is encased in a protective plastic capsule and carries a denomination of 1 Tala, backed by Samoa.
