Kookaburra 1oz Silver Coin 2025 World Money Fair- Coin show special

The 2025 Australian Kookaburra 1oz Silver Coin is a special release by The Perth Mint. This coin marks the 35th anniversary of the Australian Kookaburra coin series. It also celebrates the World Money Fair held in Berlin from January 30 to February 1, 2025.

The reverse features a vivid coloured depiction of the iconic kookaburra perched on a branch, capturing the essence of Australia’s native bird renowned for its distinctive call. The design includes a privy mark showcasing an original 1990-dated Kookaburra coin encircled by radiating lines, accompanied by the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA 35TH ANNIVERSARY’. Additionally, a red-coloured AMPELMANN™ privy mark pays tribute to the Berlin cult symbol originating from East German pedestrian signals in the 1960s.

The obverse features the effigy of King Charles III, along with inscriptions denoting the coin’s weight (1 oz), purity (.9999 fine silver), and year (2025).

Kookaburra 1oz Silver Coin is particularly significant for collectors with a limited mintage of only 2,500 coins. Each coin is presented in a special World Money Fair presentation card that displays the event’s logo and dates and includes a fold-out stand for upright display.
