Introducing the 2024 Year of the Dragon 1oz Silver Coin, Red Dragon. Meticulously crafted by the Perth Mint from 99.99% pure silver to celebrate the Chinese Lunar Year of the Dragon. This special edition features a strikingly painted red dragon and is encased in a protective capsule.
The reverse side of the coin showcases a beautifully painted Chinese mythical dragon with a flaming pearl, symbolizing spiritual energy, wisdom, prosperity, power, and immortality.
The obverse side bears the Jody Clark Memorial Obverse of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II supplemented with the dates of her reign ‘1952-2022’, as well as the weight and finesses, and the monetary denomination.
The design also includes the Chinese character for ‘dragon’, the inscription ‘DRAGON 2024’, and a ‘P125’ mintmark to commemorate The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary.
The dragon, a symbol of bravery, ambition, intelligence, and good fortune, influences those born in 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, and 2024.
This 2024 Red Dragon Perth Mint 1oz silver coin is limited to a worldwide mintage of just 5,000 coins.
