1g Gold Tara Coin Medal is a beautifully crafted 1-gram gold bullion piece, minted in 2025 by Geiger Edelmetalle for Tara Coins. It is a tribute to Ireland’s cultural heritage and the unity of life on Eart
Composed of 99.99% pure recycled gold, it reflects a commitment to eco-friendly practices. They are the first eco-friendly precious metal bullion products in Ireland and one of the few eco-friendly bullion products internationally. All the refined precious metals used to mint the Gold Trees comes from recycled gold and silver from jewellery and technology including iphones.
The obverse features the word “Éire” (Ireland) with the Irish harp, the ancient tri-spiral from Newgrange, and celestial motifs. These symbols reflect Ireland’s connection with history and nature. Ériu is one of the most powerful Irish gods, and her name became the modern Irish name for Ireland — Éire. Ériu is seen as the protector Goddess of the land, the abundance and the sovereignty of Ireland.
The reverse shows the 1g Gold Tara Coin Medal Tree of Life 2025. It also displays two shamrocks, three apples, and inscriptions in Ogham script.
